Why we built ShiftyNifty
We're a small team that got tired of habit apps trying to be everything at once — endless charts, social feeds nobody asked for, and subscriptions that outlive the habits they were meant to support. So we built the opposite: a tracker that gets out of your way and lets consistency speak for itself.
Our mission is simple — make showing up feel achievable, not exhausting. Rather than asking you to log, rate, and analyze everything about your day, ShiftyNifty asks one honest question: did you do the thing? We believe momentum beats motivation, and momentum starts with a clear, low-friction check-in.

ShiftyNifty was built on a simple principle: your daily routines are personal, so they should never leave your device. This policy explains, in plain language, what that means in practice — and the short version is that there is almost nothing to explain, because we don't collect anything.
1. Information We Collect
We collect none. ShiftyNifty has no sign-up flow, no login, no analytics SDK, and no hidden logging of any kind. The habits, weekly schedules, streaks, and check-ins you create live only inside the app on your own device.
2. How We Use Information
Since nothing is collected, there is nothing for us to use, analyze, sell, rent, or share. We don't build usage profiles, we don't track you across other apps or websites, and there's no dataset on our end that could ever be monetized.
3. Data Storage
Everything you enter — routines, streak history, reminder times, and check-in records — is stored locally in the app's own storage on your device. Nothing is synced to a server, uploaded to a cloud database, or backed up to any infrastructure we run, because none exists for your habit data.
4. Third-Party Services
ShiftyNifty does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking libraries. There are no embedded ad SDKs, social plugins, or crash-reporting tools quietly phoning home. The app behaves identically online or completely offline.
5. Data Security
Because your habit and streak data never leaves your device, it isn't exposed to the risks that come with transmitting information to remote servers — there's no account database to breach and no server-side copy of your routines to protect. Your device's own passcode, biometric lock, and encryption protect ShiftyNifty's local data the same way they protect everything else on your phone.
6. Children's Privacy
ShiftyNifty does not knowingly collect information from anyone, regardless of age, because it collects no information at all. There are no chat features, no shared user-generated content, and no mechanism for data to leave the device, which makes the app appropriate for users of all ages under regulations such as COPPA.
7. Your Control
There is no account to create, manage, or delete, because ShiftyNifty never asked you to make one. If you want to remove your data, delete the relevant habits within the app or uninstall it entirely — since everything is stored locally, uninstalling removes all associated data completely and permanently.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect new features or to clarify existing practices. Any revisions will be posted on this page along with an updated effective date. Continuing to use ShiftyNifty after changes are posted means you accept the revised policy.
